Salisbury Water System Repair of Ruptured or Leaking Water Mains, Service Lines and Fire Hydrants In issuing this bid document the Town is seeking to retain a qualified bidder to perform all emergency and routine repairs to water mains, service lines and fire hydrants within the Salisbury Water System as requested by the Salisbury Chief Water Operator. The qualified bidder shall preform the following services: A. Services a. Contractor must be available to respond to waterline breaks and leaks within one hour of notification by the Salisbury Water Divisionb. Contractor shall maintain a means for contact for twenty-four hours a day. c. Contractor will coordinate emergency and routine "dig safe" requests. d. Contractor will coordinate and request all required police details (to be paid for by the Town). e. Contractor will assist to locate and identify the type of break/leak. f. Contractor will assist Salisbury Water Division with al required water main shut down, recharging and flushing. g. Contractor will repair broken and damaged fire hydrants as requested. h. Contractor will provide all excavation, repairs, backfill and paving. This work will be completed to Town standards as determined with the Salisbury Water Department and Salisbury Department of Public Works. i. The contractor may be required to provide parts or materials not specified in this document by the Salisbury Water Division. The Town will not pay more than a 10% markup on materials not specified. j. The contractor may request a mobilization fee for each event. This amount must be specified on the form of bid. If no mobilization fee will be charged, bidder must enter a "0".
