Site work and paving for a civil project in Gardner, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Work of this Contract generally consists of replacing approximately 2,200 linear feet of 16-inch diameter ductile iron water main, including valves, fittings, and associated appurtenances from the Crystal Lake Water Treatment Facility to the James Street water storage tanks in the City of Gardner. The water main will be installed in existing paved roadways and through a cross country easement. This contract consists of temporary pavement on all existing roadways. The existing 16-inch diameter cast iron transmission main shall remain in service during construction and be abandoned in place after the new 16- inch diameter ductile iron water main is installed and in service. The work also consists of the installation of approximately 2,060 linear feet of two (2) 3-inch PVC conduits alongside the new water main. The project includes Additive Alternate A which generally consists of replacing approximately 1,850 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main on Washington Street (from Favor Street to Main Street) and all associated service connections, valves, fittings, hydrants, and appurtenances. 2024-843 Question Deadline 03/15/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Questions received less than five business days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding.
