Renovation of a mixed-use development in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and laboratory facility.
As of May 26, 2022 This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Relocate Hines Lab 207 to Cherry 201 project will be constructed on NCA&T's main campus in Greensboro, NC. The project will be a renovation of existing rooms Hines Hall and Cherry Hall. The project will include the removal and relocation of two (2) existing benchtop islands from lab 207 in Hines Hall to lab 201 in Cherry Hall. Both benchtop islands have two (2) built-in lab sinks which will require new hot water, cold water, sanitary and vent piping. Additionally, an existing fume hood located in Hines Hall, lab 200, will be removed and relocated to Cherry Hall Lab 201. The fume hood will require new cold water, sanitary and vent piping. Also, a new exhaust fan serving the fume hood will be installed on the roof. Stainless steel duct will be routed up, through the third floor, to the location of the exhaust fan on the roof. A new chase will be constructed on the third floor to enclose the stainless-steel exhaust duct. The electrical scope includes providing power for the new exhaust fan and the relocated fume hood. Selective demolition of existing lights and receptacles will also take place in Cherry 201. New light fixtures will be provided in Cherry 201.
