Storage Area Network and Disaster Recovery Replacement The Riverside Transit Agency (Agency) is soliciting firm, fixed price proposals for a vendor to replace its production and failover VMware environment storage area networks (SANs), replace its Veeam backup and disaster recovery (DR) targets, and implement cloud-based backups. This is a firm, fixed price project and the vendor will be responsible for all aspects of the upgrade, except those outlined below as Agency responsibilities. Vendors must be authorized partners with the manufacturer of the solution that they are proposing to install. Vendor must have deployed at least three similar solutions within the past two years. Vendor must provide at least three references for these projects. Replacement of equipment will take place at the following locations: RTA Riverside located at 1825 Third Street, Riverside, CA, and RTA Hemet located at 700 Scaramella Circle, Hemet, CA The Agency requires a replacement for its existing production HP 3PAR SAN, currently configured with 48- 450 GB hard drive disks (HDD), configured for RAID-5, with a usable capacity of 17.5 TB. The required usable capacity of the VMware environment replacement SAN is 48 TB, after configuring for RAID and deduplication. The desired SAN for this project is a HPE Alletra 6030 92 TB all-flash array, with minimum 92 TB raw capacity, using solid state drives (SSD). The Agency also requires two HPE SN6600B 48/24 32 GB SAN switches. Vendor shall include all necessary licensing and five years of support (extended warranty for all components). The agency will also consider recommendations for approved equals, as long as the pricing, performance (IOPS, latency, bandwidth, deduplication, etc.), expandability, and reliability (MTBF) is comparable to or better than the Alletra system. The proposed solution must support non-disruptive software/firmware upgrades, as this production environment is a 24/7/365 operation. The proposed solution must also support up to twodisk failures, without the entire array failing. The proposed solution must be at least a second generation all flash array product for the vendor. The existing system currently hosts 49 virtual machines (VM), most of which most are running Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019 operating systems. Additionally, Agency will entertain a trade-in offer from Vendor for its existing HP 3 PAR SAN and Brocade SAN switches.
