THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and transportation necessary to accomplish the following tasks at East Brimfield Reservoir and Long Pond: Conduct a comprehensive pre-treatment lake survey and report to identify the distribution and abundance of native and target aquatic invasive vegetation species (fanwort, Eurasian watermilfoil, and variable watermilfoil). Apply a systematic aquatic herbicide to approximately 40 acres to control fanwort, Eurasian watermilfoil, and variable watermilfoil. Conduct a post-treatment lake survey with a final report that identifies the distribution and abundance of target vegetation species, and evaluates the efficacy of the aquatic herbicide treatment, as well as provide future management recommendations for aquatic invasive species This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS code is 541990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $16.5 Million. ALL OFFERORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. The project office is located at 24 Riverview Avenue, Fiskdale, Massachusetts. 3. Site Visit - Contact the Technical Point of Contact, (TPOC) Project Manager, Keith Beecher (978) 318-8405 keith.w.beecher@usace.army.mil to arrange a site visit. 4. Schedule - All work will be completed from contract award through November 30, 2022. The project area will be open to the contractor Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and all work must be done during those hours unless additional hours are approved by the TPOC. No work shall be done on weekends or Government holidays. The schedule for herbicide application will be determined by and must be strictly adhered to the requirements set forth by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 5. Safety - a) All work shall be conducted in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1, most recent edition), and all applicable OSHA, federal, state, and local safety, and health requirements.
