Liquid Carbon Dioxide stablizes the water and reduces scale build-up. This will be used at the Water Treatment Plant, 3245 NW Waterworks Drive. The contract covers the time period of July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023. Q And A Open4/20/2022 6:31:00 PM Q And A Close5/16/2022 10:30:00 PM The estimated quantity is 1,750 tons for the twelve (12) month supply. The quantity listed is an estimated supply only and the City of Topeka Water Division reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity. The material to be furnished shall be for use in the treatment of a municipal water supply and shall be suitable for supply to solution-feed type machines. CHEMICAL COMPOSITION The Liquid Carbon Dioxide shall contain no soluble mineral or organic substances in quantities capable of producing deleterious or injurious effects upon the health of those who consume water that has been properly treated with it. The delivered Liquid Carbon Dioxide shall be not less than 99% pure by volume; it must not contain moisture or oils in amounts capable of accumulating in the storage vessel or interfering with proper feeding. Liquid Carbon Dioxide shall conform to the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standard B510-12 or latest revision. The award shall be based on which responsive and responsible vendor supplies the product closest to each item description at the lowest price. The City has the final say as to which products come the closest to the items described. The City of Topeka reserves the right to award the bid to one or more vendors by line item. Bidders are responsible for providing sufficient information to evaluate all items including texture, density, and composition. The award will be made by line. The contract(s) awarded from this bid shall become effective on the date of signature by both parties and shall remain in effect for one (1) year. Prices quoted shall remain firm for the duration of the contract The City reserves the right to award to more than one bidder (primary supplier and secondary supplier) to insure an uninterrupted supply of product. In addition to indicating the bid for supplying Liquid Carbon Dioxide on the Bid Form furnished with this set of specifications, the bidder shall submit the following: a. Company name b.
