Work under the contract comprises of the demolition and removal of the existing water tank located near Sesame Place between the 860's and 880's Buildings on Town Center Drive, Langhorne, PA 19047. The Oxford Valley Water Tank is owned by BCWSA. The general extent of the Work for the contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: Confirmation of the removal or temporary relocation of any and all cell carrier equipment which is currently either directly on the water tank or on timber monopoles near the water tank; confirmation of the removal or temporary relocation, by others, of any other structures which would impede the work to be completed; the removal and regulated disposal of the existing vinyl wrap on the water tank; and the demolition and regulated removal of the water tank, all as noted or as shown on the Project Plans and as described in the Project Manual. Work is contained under a unit price contract. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the Authority along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of the Authority and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by the Authority. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 5/10/2022 5:00 PM This project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act as amended and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, and weekly certified payrolls will be required attesting to this. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. BCWSA reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality in the bids or to make an award to such Bidder who, in the judgment of the Authority, makes the most advantageous bid. Additionally, BCWSA requires Contractor Responsibility Certification at least fourteen (14) days before the date set for the opening of the bids; therefore, due on or before May 3, 2022.
