Estimated Project Cost: $550,000 to $750,000 1,418 Cy Unclassified Excavation; 2,054 Sy Crushed Aggregate Base Course; 863 Tons of Asphalt Paving; 993 Lf of Curb and Curb & Gutter; 432 Sy of Concrete Sidewak; Drainage Items; Traffic Signal Items & Installation; Irrigation System; and Other Miscellaneous Items for General Roadway Construction Including Erosion Control and Traffic Control Items. A Cashier's Check (Drawn on an Alabama Bank) or Bid Bond for 5% of the Amount Bid (Maximum of $10,000.00) and Made Payable to the City of Montgomery Must Accompany Each Bid as Evidence of Good Faith. Proof of Insurance Coverages of the Types and Amounts as Set Forth in the Project Specifications Will Be Required of the Contractor, and Any and All Subcontractors, Prior to Beginning Work. The Contractor Will Be Required to Perform Work Amounting to at Least 30% of the Total Contract Cost With His Own Organization. This Is a State-funded Project Through Aldot. The Proposed Work Shall Be Performed in Conformity With All Applicable Laws, Rules, and Regulations. The City of Montgomery Is Desirous of a Good Faith Demonstration of Efforts for Acquiring Dbe Participation for All Public Works Projects, and Particularly Encourages All Dbe Contractors to Submit a Bid. The City of Montgomery Is Required to Comply With the Beason-hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act, 31-13-1 Et Seq. Of Code of Alabama 1975 (Act No. 2011-535), Subsequently All Bidders Are Required to Submit an E-verify Affidavit Stating They Are Enrolled in the E-verify Program and the Entire Associated Memorandum of Understanding on the Outside of Their Sealed Bid Proposals.
