This project shall provide for the excavation and removal of excess material of approximately 176,444 linear feet (LF) of existing roadside ditches by cleaning and disposing of silt offsite as called out in the plan set and as directed by the City of Beaumont to enhance drainage within the project limits. All ditches are to be cleaned and reshaped in conformance with the lines, grades and typical cross-section shown on the plans. This project also provides for the resetting/repair of select driveway culverts and associated driveway aprons. Culverts to be replaced shall be set to the appropriate grade, backfilled, and driveway aprons reconstructed, all in accordance with the details and requirements on the plans and specifications. Bidders must submit Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, Certified Check or irrevocable Letter of Credit issued by a bank satisfactory to the Owner, payable without recourse to the order of the City of Beaumont in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the largest possible bid amount as a guaranty that the Bidder will enter into contract and execute bond and guaranty in the form provided within fourteen (14) calendar days after date of Notice of Award of the contract. Bids without required financial security deposit will not be considered.
