Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a power facility in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility; and for site work for a power facility.

The Alternative Resource Energy Authority (AREA) is overseeing the construction of a solar garden (solar PV facility) in each of the Towns of Antigonish, Berwick and Mahone Bay. Each solar garden will be connected to an existing distribution circuit within each of the Towns' distribution network. The Towns of Antigonish, Berwick and Mahone Bay each own and operate their own electric utility. The Town of Antigonish distribution network presently operates at 12.47kV, however, future plans are to convert the network to 24.94kV. The Town of Berwick distribution network presently operates at 12.47kV and the Town of Mahone Bay distribution network operates at 4.16kV. This Scope of Work is prepared to describe in detail the technical requirements to supply and install overhead line infrastructure as required to provide an interconnection (collector circuit) between the solar garden facility (padmount step-up transformer) and the point of interconnection with the Town's electric utility distribution circuit. In general, the Scope of Work should be considered generic for all three (3) solar garden collector circuits; with modifications being noted herein where the individual Collector Circuit design and/or equipment is specific only to that facility.
