Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Pickering, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and bridge / tunnel.
Parks Canada Agency (PCA) is seeking Construction Services to carry out site work for the Twyn Rivers day use and surrounding area improvements project to create a safer and more accessible visitor experience that considers the ecological integrity of the area. The project will address the inherited long term safety issues where a nearby trail system intersects at multiple points with Twyn Rivers Drive. Work will include the construction of two new pedestrian bridges over the Little Rouge River, a 500 m trail section, the Twyn Rivers Day Use Area will be repaired and upgraded with new paved parking and washroom facility, and improvements to the picnic and day use area. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $1,000,001 > $ 5,000,000, Taxes extra. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
