**As of June29, 2022, project was awarded to Toro Enterprises Inc., awarded amount is $3,422,537.30.** Engineer's Estimate: Schedule I $3,100,000.00 Schedule II $545,000.00 No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project submitted on or after March 1, 2015, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, or unless the contractor or subcontractor qualifies for an exception from this requirement, for bid purposes only, as set forth in Labor Code section 1771.1(a). If contractor or subcontractor believes that such an exception in 1771.1(a) applies, it must provide the applicable exception(s) in its bid proposal. Even those contractors or subcontractors who qualify for an exception under 1771.1(a) must be registered with DIR at the time of award, if such award is made on or after April 1, 2015. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project awarded on or after April 1, 2015 unless registered with DIR pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. Schedule I: 1) 1,091,424 S.F. of asphalt pavement cold milling; 2) 13,304 tons of asphalt placement; 3) 1,468 S.F. of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of sidewalk; 4) 56 sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of curb ramps; 5) 1,460 S.F. of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of concrete cross and/or longitudinal gutter; 6) 212 L.F. of concrete sidewalk grinding; 7) 164 L.F. of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of concrete curb and gutter; 8) 102 sewer manhole frame and cover replacement; 9) 136 water valve assembly replacement; 10) traffic signing and pavement delineation; 11) construction surveying; and all appurtenant work as provided in the Proposed Schedule of Work and Prices for Schedule I. The specified completion time for Schedule I is 60 consecutive working days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Schedule II: 1) 188,389 S.F. of asphalt pavement cold milling; 2) 1,774 tons of asphalt placement; 3) 692 S.F. of sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of sidewalk; 4) 16 sawcut, removal,and reconstruction of curb ramps; 5) 156 L.F. of concrete sidewalk grinding; 6) 136 L.F. sawcut, removal, and reconstruction of of concrete curb and gutter; 7) 23 sewer manhole frame and cover replacement; 8) 22 water valve assembly replacement; 9) traffic signing and pavement delineation; 10) construction surveying; and all appurtenant work as provided in the Proposed Schedule of Work and Prices for Schedule II. The City reserves the right to retain all proposals for a period of 60 days after the bid opening date for examination and comparison and to delete any portion of the work from the Contract. The City reserves the right to determine and waive nonsubstantial irregularities in any proposal, to reject any or all proposals, to reject one part of a proposal and accept the other. The bid shall be balanced so that each bid item is priced to carry its share of the cost of the work and also its share of the contractor's overhead and profit. The City reserves the right to delete any bid item to the extent that the bid is qualified by specific limitation. An unbalanced bid shall be considered as grounds for rejecting the entire bid. The City further reserves the right to make award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as the interest of the City may require. In accordance with the provisions of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1 of the California Labor Code, the California Department of Industrial Relations has established the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft, classification, and type of work needed to execute contracts for public works and improvements. The per diem wages published at the date the Contract is advertised for bids shall be applicable. The contractor may substitute securities for retention monies pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300.
