A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The scope of work consists of a new waterline along Industrial Drive and resurfacing of Industrial Drive in the Village of Whitehouse. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashiers check or letter of credit in favor of the Village of Whitehouse, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Lucas County, Ohio. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The Village of Whitehouse reserves the right pursuant to ORC.9.312 and the Village of Whitehouse Code of Ordinances Section 103.01 to reject and any and all bids and to waive any non-material irregularity in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The estimate for the cost of construction is $475,000. Contractor shall pay Owner $1,000 for each day that expires after such until the Work is completed and ready for final payment.
