The scope of work consists of the installation of over 1,900 feet of 10-inch water main on Industrial Drive (Part 1) and over 1,300 feet of 8-inch water main on Field Avenue (Part 2), in the Village of Whitehouse. Other improvements include nine (9) services and six (6) hydrants on Industrial Parkway, fifteen (15) services and four (4) hydrants on Field Avenue as well as related work. The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check or letter of credit in favor of the Village of Whitehouse, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Lucas County, Ohio. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the minimum wage rates established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio. The Village of Whitehouse reserves the right pursuant to ORC.9.312 and the Village of Whitehouse Code of Ordinances Section 103.01 to reject and any and all bids and to waive any non-material irregularity in determining the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
