Renovation of a day care center in Middleville, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a day care center.

The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bid or in the bid process, or, for reasons of establishing uniformity, delivery time or preference, to award the contract to other than the low bidder. All prices quoted are to be F.O.B., Middleville, Michigan. All purchases and sales to the school district are exempt from all taxes, including state and federal taxes. Exemption certificates for the school district will be furnished upon request. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, or the superintendent of the school district. The bid shall also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing whether the bidder is an Iran Linked Business in compliance with PA 517 of 2012. The Board shall not accept a bid that does not include these sworn and notarized disclosure statements. One (1) copy of the bid form should be retained for your files. Any questions should be directed to John Dombrowski, Technology Co-Director, in writing via email at jdombrowski@tkschools.org. 1. Bids are being solicited for the A/V technology equipment as outlined below. 2. Proposals must be made in full conformity with all conditions set forth in the specifications. 3. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to waive any informality or irregularity in the bid or in the bid process, or, for reasons of establishing uniformity, delivery time or preference, to award the contract to other than the low bidder. 4. Bidders must respond to all sections in this bid to be considered. 5. Bidders must provide all required equipment for the installation of the hardware. 6. The bidder shall submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond of the total Bid price, made payable to Thornapple Kellogg Schools, with the sealed bid. Any bids received without a Bid Bond will be rejected by the District. 7. Any bidder may withdraw its bid at any time prior to the scheduled time for opening of bids. All proposals submitted shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. The intent with this project is for the awarded bidder to provide a comprehensive, turn-key audio/video solution for Thornapple Kellogg's Board Meeting/Professional Development Room at the New Learning Center. Our New Learning Center is in the process of being built and should be completed by August 22, 2022. All the work within this scope is new construction. The proposed solution should be simple to use for both Board Meetings and Professional Development settings. The room will primarily serve two purposes. First, we will host our public board meetings in this new room. During board meetings, seven board members and two administrators will sit at tables along the south wall of the board room. We will also have a podium available for people to use when presenting to the board. As specified below, each board member, administrator, and the podium will have a wireless "gooseneck" mic that will provide voice amplification throughout the room. If a board member, administrator, or presenter needs to project a presentation, we will provide them with an HDMI input as indicated on the map. The presentation will then show on all four TVs in the room. Additionally, we will have the ability to broadcast board meetings to YouTube or other streaming services. Second, the room will be used as a professional development/training room. During this time, a presenter will have a pedentant microphone to wear and a handheld microphone to pass around. A presenter will have the ability to project a presentation or movie on all four TV screens. Additionally, during work time, individuals will have the ability to project to an individual screen. For example, during small group work, a group of people could position the tables in front of an individual TV and project to just that one TV via HDMI or wireless connection.
