The Contractor shall provide labor, materials, and equipment, as required, to accomplish the following work in accordance with the statements herein: the contractor to remove the existing steel plates over the pit. Fill the pit with Controlled Density Fill (CDF) also known as "flowable fill" and place a 6 inch concrete cap over the pit. This pit is a box out in the concrete floor with concrete floor and walls. The pit is connected to the utility trench running inside the building that still houses some utilities. This trench will not be filled in. A removable block will separate the pit from the utility trench.
