Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Northampton, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
Due to aging the high school track will be in need of re-surfacing in the next several yaers.When repairs and repainting were last done the contractor said the track had about 5-7 years of useful llife left.There are signs of deteroioration and cracking.The rubber surface and asphalt sub-base would need to be removed and replaced and the track would need to be sealed and painted. A preliminary engineering assessment was completed last year and based on that work the resurfacing of the track can be addressed in FY 27. This project is in included in the City of Northampton FY 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of April 25, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
