Renovation of a mixed-use development in Frankfort, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and fire / police facility.

The project is the Kentucky State Police, Academy Dorm Improvements, 380 Coffee Tree Road, Frankfort, Kentucky, Franklin County. The project is located at the Kentucky State Police Training Academy. Project consist of recladding the existing dormitory with new metal roof & wall panels. All roof areas indicated shall receive a new metal-over-metal roof panel system on existing standing seam metal roofs (to remain in place) utilizing retrofit subpurlin framing system. Provide new metal panel wall system at all walls with galv. hat channels over existing EIFS to be coated with an air barrier prior to enclosure. Provide new rake, fascia, valley, wall, & soffit prefinished metal trims + gutters & downspouts at full perimeter. Existing false attic vents at dutch hips shall be covered over with wall panels. All unused exhaust stacks (4) will be removed. Existing KSP radio communication equipment will be taken off-line for a (5) day max. outage during new roof work. Provide (8) large exterior louvers to be mounted in front of existing louvers. All PVDF finishes for new metal panel systems, soffit, ceiling, and trims shall have 45-year paint warranty (Kynar-500 paint). Reinforced concrete mow strip shall be placed at full perimeter of building. Project Includes exterior painting of existing exterior windows, doors, and frames. Painting and concrete work must be performed by experienced contractors. Retrofit sub-purling framing system must be installed by a Contractor that can provide verified experience with installing these systems. Plumbing work to extend several sprinkler system drain lines and a water driven sprinkler system activation alarm bell.
