The selected Subcontractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment for the Work Zone Traffic Control for the 2022 - 2025 Biennial Inspection and Interim Bridge Inspection, Region 9, All Counties in the State of New York. The required traffic control will assist PDG and New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) personnel, or their authorized designee, with the inspection of said bridges. Work shall be performed as described and in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Required Experience: As the safety of human lives is at risk, the Subcontractor shall have had a minimum of five (5) years documented experience in the performance of traffic control. Additionally, all flag persons shall have had a minimum of six (6) months of documented experience in traffic control. All Subcontractors' personnel assigned to this work shall have current flagger certification necessary to perform the work, must be able to communicate in a clear and effective manner and be familiar with the MUTCD manual. Interested parties may receive a BID package from: Mr. Mark Butcher, at the PDG's Rochester office, 555 Penbrooke Drive, Rochester, NY 14526, which explains in more detail the nature of the work, requirements and conditions needed to successfully complete this assignment. Contract: January 1, 2022 until May 31, 2026. The project period is from June 2022 until May 31, 2024. It should be noted that the majority of the work will be performed from June 2022 through December of 2023 with minimal or uncertain amount of work anticipated in 2024. The number of workdays required per crew to provide Work Zone Traffic Control per week will vary from zero to five (0 to 5) days. As many as three (3) separate work crews with all necessary equipment and materials may be required to work simultaneously at any time during the Contract. PDG has a prime contract with the NYSDOT, Contract No. D038198. All applicable provisions of the prime contract apply to the subcontract. PDG reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities, to invite for new bid proposals and to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive or conditional bids. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. Under the requirements of the State Procurement Act all communications regarding advertised projects are to be channeled through the Contract Management Bureau's Designated Contact: Mr. Mark Butcher of PDG. Until a contract is approved, contact with any other NYSDOT or PDG employee concerning this project should not be made unless otherwise directed by the Office of Contract Management. Communications made contrary to this policy and deemed an attempt to influence the outcome, may result in disqualification.
