SCOPE OF CONTRACT: Contractor shall provide all necessary parts, labor, tools, materials, equipment, delivery and resources as may be required for Asphalt and Concrete Services to include, but not limited to earthwork, site utilities, and paint markings in accordance with the current editions of the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation Road and Bridge specifications, PWCS Specifications, PWC Design and Construction Standards Manual and the Virginia Erosion & Sediment Control Handbook (VESCH) as well as the terms and conditions stated herein. Wherever the following terms are used in said specifications, in any of the contract documents, or in the plans, the intended meaning of such terms shall be as follows: . "State" or "Commission" shall be replaced by the word Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS). "Engineer" or "Resident Engineer" shall be replaced by the words Project Manager(s) or his duly authorized representative All inquiries for information regarding Bid Submission requirements or Procurement Procedures should be directed to: Brian Burtner, Senior Buyer Phone: (703) 791-8736, Fax: (703) 791-8610, E-Mail: burtneba@pwcs.edu CONTRACT TERM AND RENEWAL: The initial term of this contract shall be from the date of award to October 31, 2027, with the option to renew for two (2) additional two-year periods, two years at a time, upon mutual written consent of the parties to the contract. Proposed prices shall remain firm for the initial term of the contract. Refer to Prices and Price Adjustments in the Special Terms and Conditions SITE VISITS: The Contractor will be required to conduct site visits. The Contractor shall report to the site within five (5) business days. The Project Manager(s) or their designee will be onsite to go over what would be required for the particular project. Upon completion of the site visit, the Contractor shall provide a detailed cost proposal within five (5) business days based on the contract unit prices identified herein. All site visits shall be at no cost to PWCS. Upon approval of the cost proposal, PWCS will issue a purchase order. The Contractor shall not provide any good/services until a purchase order is in hand. Verbal orders are not acceptable. Cost Proposals are to be detailed, outlining contract unit costs, including time and materials and estimated cost of subcontractors before and after admin fees. Cost Proposals will cover only quoted work; unforeseen or unknown repairs will be mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and PWCS Project Manager(s). "Do not exceed" estimates are not considered estimates.
