Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Monroe, North Carolina. Working plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
All RFQs shall be valid for a period of 90 days pending Council approval and awarding of contract(s). Any questions regarding this bid or to request a RFQ package please contact Karen M. Penegar at 704-282-4634 or kpenegar@monroenc.org. The City of Monroe reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and waive any formalities as may be permitted by law. Award will be made based on the most responsive/responsible offer. The project will be constructed on Walkup Ave at the cross street of Richardson adjacent and across Richardson Street to the existing Energy Services Facility. The city owns the property encompassing 11.68 acres. The anticipated building(s) size is approximately 40,000 - 60,000 sq. ft. and be multi use warehouse space, approximately 10 offices, conference/training room, oil storage and covered vehicle storage. The selected consultant will analyze the existing warehouse space 8,000 sq. ft. and facility to assess how the space can be used to meet the needs. Energy efficiency/LEEDS compliance will be an important design consideration. Estimated budget is $5 million.
