Renovation of a municipal facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
As of January 4, 2024, a general contractor has been awarded and a notice to proceed was issued in October 2023. This project is currently under construction. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Scope The Dobbs Building was constructed in 1977 and is located in downtown Raleigh. The original roof was replaced in 2003. The existing roof is an asphalt bituminous membrane showing blisters and cracks. Roofing terminations along the parapet and penthouse walls have deteriorated. Water is leaking through material seams and the joints between the parapet and the roof surface. Attempted repairs have not been successful and roof is considered to have reached end of life. Project is to provide new roof and drains. This project will include sealing of the metal sheet parapet and penthouse walls. The roof deck is cast in place concrete.
