This bid involves the construction of a package wastewater treatment plant for the City of Northlake. This construciton bid is a build-on to the "Northlake (Catherine Branch) Wastewater Treatment Plant Pre-Purchase Package" that was selected back in March. This pre-purchase package provides the package wastewater plant and all appurtrenances for the plant, lift station pumps and accessories, and valves for the valve vault. The contractor will be assigned these equipment items and will work with the selected vendor and their representatives on the proper installation of the equipment; as well as furnish, construct, and install an FRP wet-well, valve vault, wet-well piping, valve vault piping, sludge waste piping, influent gravity line piping, effluent gravity line piping, manholes, and other items listed in the plans and specifications of this project. This project includes: construction of a proposed wastewater treatment plant and lift station at the Catherine Branch site. Bidders must submit a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bidder's bond with their proposal as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract for the project with the Owner within fifteen (15) days of Notice of Award of the contract. The security must be payable to Town of Northlake in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid submitted. Contractor must execute the contract, bonds and certificates of insurance on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Contractors for this Project must pay no less than the prevailing wage rates for the area established by the Owner and included in the contract documents. Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bonds are required. The Town of Northlake reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous interpretation of the bids submitted in the case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating proposal prices, to reject any or all bids, and/or waive formalities. Bids may not be withdrawn within ninety (90) days from date on which bids are opened.
