Site work and renovation of a civil project in Sorrento, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of extending and raising the flood protection of the pumping station to elevation 12.25 NGVD including closing two existing open gaps in the station's substructure. This work includes adding floodwalls on both ends of the station; and, installing ten back flow prevention slide gates and four flap gates; and, the removal of the existing septic tank and installation of a new septic tank system. Also, the replacement of engine exhaust and air intake systems; removal of the existing engine housings; the replacement of five catwalk segments in pump bays 1 through 5. The addition of a new Owner furnished tank farm catwalk. The work requires that only one pump can be offline at a time; therefore, Contractor has to schedule all work associated with each pump to be completed before another pump can be taken offline. Any work that does not interfere with pump operations may be performed continuously. The Pump Operator shall determine when a pump can be taken offline. All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted to the Purchasing Department via purchasing@apgov.us by 4:00 PM on May 12,2022. Responses will be coordinated with the Project Engineer and posted on electronically by 4:00 PM on May 17, 2022. The public entity advertising for bids for work may require the bidders to attach a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for not more than five percent of the estimated price of supplies or materials, as evidence of good faith of the bidder. Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
