Central Park Tennis Courts Wall Replacement: In general, the work shall include, but is not limited to the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals required for the removal/demolition and disposal of the existing 10'high tennis courts backstop/wall at Central Park, and the construction of new 10' high tennis courts backstop/wall at the same location, including all incidentals and appurtenances as shown on the Plans and as specified herein these Specifications. Central Park Tennis Courts Resurfacing: In general, the work shall include, but is not limited to the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals required for the resurfacing of the existing tennis courts with acrylic overlay (Plexipave or approved equal); including all surface preparations and repairs (crack sealing, patching, leveling and repairing low spots, removal of all loose materials, scraping, surface grinding, cleaning, power washing, etc.); application of color finish, tennis game striping; removal and disposal of existing fence windscreens, and furnishing and installing new (9' high) professional grade vinyl coated polyester windscreen on the existing 10' chain link fence; replacement of a portion of the existing chain link fence, including all incidentals and appurtenances as shown on the Plans and as specified herein these Specifications. Claremont Park: In general, the work shall include, but is not limited to the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals required for the resurfacing of the existing tennis courts with acrylic overlay (Plexipave or approved equal) over a slipsheet overlay system (by Fraser Edwards Company or approved equal); including all surface preparations and repairs (crack sealing, patching, leveling and repairing low spots, removal of all loose materials, scraping, surface grinding, cleaning, power washing, etc.); application of color finish, multi-sport (tennis and pickleball) striping; removal and disposal of existing fence windscreens, and furnishing and installing new (9' high) professional grade vinyl coated polyester windscreen on the existing 10' chain link fence, including all incidentals and appurtenances as shown on the Plans and as specified herein these Specifications All contractors are required to comply with all the requirements of the City of Salinas local hiring preference Ordinance 2330, Salinas City Code Chapter 12, Article IV, attached hereto, STATEMENT OF GOOD FAITH EFFORT FOR LOCAL HIRE and incorporated herein by reference, with respect to person(s) hired directly by the Contractor and to all persons hired by the Contractor's Subcontractor(s). In determining the lowest bid for a public works contract that exceed $5,000.00, a qualified local business shall receive a five percent (5%) preference, per the City's Local Purchasing Preference Ordinance (Sec. 12-28.050 and Sec. 12-28.060). In order to be recognized as a local business, Contractors must submit a Declaration of Local Business Form to the City's Finance Department.
