For Lime Batch Slaking Equipment and Soda Ash Solution Equipment System Pre-Selection Brookings Municipal Utilities WTP The lime batch slaking equipment and soda ash solution equipment is being pre-selected and will be installed by a Installing Contractor that will be selected in the future, and anticipated to bid for construction around July or August 2022. This invitation will be used by Brookings Municipal Utilities to pre-select a lime slaking and/or soda ash solution equipment system supplier(s) and pre-negotiate a cost for the equipment. The final agreed upon selling price for the equipment will be provided in the Contract Documents for the BMU WTP project. Brookings Municipal Utilities will not pre-purchase or procure this equipment but will provide the pre-negotiated price to the prime contractors to include in their bid. The successful Bidder/Manufacturer/Supplier will be required to enter into a contract with the selected Installing Contractor for the purchase and installation of the equipment. In general, the Lime Batch Slaking Equipment and/or Soda Ash Solution Equipment consists of: 1. The supply of Goods consisting of lime storage silos and unloading panels, dry lime feeders, dry lime reversing feeder, lime batch slurry slakers, lime slurry aging tank, lime slurry feed pumps, controls, and other ancillary equipment and/or soda ash storage silo and unloading panel, soda ash feeder, soda ash delumper, soda ash prep tank, soda ash solution tank, soda ash solution feed pump, controls, and other ancillary equipment, and 2. The supply of Special Services consisting of assistance to Brookings Municipal Utilities, Engineer and to the Installing Contractor in incorporating the Goods into Brookings Municipal Utilities new WTP project, assistance to the Installing Contractor in installing the lime slaking and/or soda ash solution systems, and assistance to Brookings Municipal Utilities, Engineer, and Installing Contractor in commissioning the lime batch slaking and/or soda ash solution systems. No site visit will be scheduled.
