Demolition, site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a warehouse / distribution facility; for the construction of a warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.

As of July 1, 2022, project was awarded to Dutchman Contracting LLC. for $440,124 and Kobalt Construction Inc. for $378,267 The Bidder has visited the site and become familiar with and satisfied itself as to the general, local and site conditions that may affect cost, progress, performance and/or furnishing of the Project Scope of Work/Specifications. Work to be performed under this contract shall include the furnishing of all necessary tools, materials, labor, supplies, transportation, hardware, components, and equipment to construct a Salt Storage Shed at the Plainfield Township Road Department Building, which is located at 517 Getz Road, Nazareth, PA 18064 All work must be completed by October 31, 2022. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $825.00 per calendar day. This project is subject to PA Prevailing Wages Project Rates in accordance with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act. Each bidder is required to bid on the total project. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified check made payable to 'Plainfield Township' in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful bidder shall provide a Performance Bond to the municipality in the amount of one-hundred percent (100%) of the contract award and a Payment Bond to the municipality in the amount of onehundred percent (100%) of the contract award within fifteen (15) days after the contract is awarded. All Bidders must complete and submit with their bid the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Public Works Employment Verification Form as per Department of General Services Act 127 of 2012. Action is planned to be taken by the Board of Supervisors at their regular meeting to be held at the Plainfield Township Municipal Building on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 7:00 PM prevailing time CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 5/20/2022 12:00 PM As this project is funded in part by a Local Share Account grant provided by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania/Commonwealth Financing Authority, all Contractors and Subcontractors are required to pay PA Prevailing Wages Project Rates, comply with the State Contractor Responsibility Program, Contractor Integrity Provisions, equal opportunity, the Commonwealth Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment clause and any other applicable statutes/regulations within the bid documents and submit all forms and certifications requested by and cooperate fully with representatives of the funding agency and Plainfield Township. All requirements of the Local Share Account grant contract will flow down to the successful Contractor. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any irregularities, to negotiate contract amounts, to accept any bid which, in its judgment, is in the best interest of the Township and to delete any items or portions of items, if necessary and depending on budgetary constraints.
