Renovation of a mixed-use development in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project is partially funded through an EDA Grant. The project consists of renovations of a former community college building. In the lower-level space, renovations are for the removal of a stairwell and the addition of a new stairwell. Also, some minor removal of ceilings and plumbing work. The remainder of the project consists of a complete removal and renovation of the space as noted on the drawings. Exterior glass and aluminum storefronts will be removed and replaced. New Mechanical, electrical and plumbing, as well as finishes for the First and Second Floor. The rooftop receives additional structural support and the addition of a pedestal system roof top deck and glass rotunda with catering kitchen. The brick exterior is painted a charcoal color with an Alternate for a Mural. Organization of the bids consists of (6) Bid packages including, Metal Studs, Drywall & Paint, the remainder or the General Trades and then a Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical package that will be held by the owner. As of November 10, 2023, this project commenced construction September 2023. All trades have been awarded. *This project has been awarded and all trades have been let.
