Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dorchester, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of June 22 the project was awarded to Asphalt Paving for $43,825.73 . The work for which bids are requested includes the following South 4th Street: From south of Bus. County Rd. A to south of 4th Ave. totaling 6,400 s.y., 5 road approaches totaling 20 s.y. each. Contractor to pulverize existing asphalt to 1.5" diameter, fine grade and shape to 3% crown or grade road to drain. Salvaged material shall be used in shaping with remainder of material placed within village limits at location to be determined by the village supervisor. Minor adjustment of sanitary sewer manholes and water valves may be necessary. Contractor shall adjust manholes and valve boxes .5" inch below pavement grade. Paving rings are acceptable. Contractor shall provide 4" of HMA pavement in two lifts. Proposed pavement section shall be 34 feet wide, 1100 feet long and 28 feet wide, 365 feet long and 24 feet wide, 415 feet long and 5-4 ft. road approaches 36 ft. wide. Bituminous lower lift shall be 2 MT 58-28S (2.5" thick) and upper lift shall be 5 MT 58- 34H (1.5" thick). The resultant thickness shall be 4". All work and materials shall be in accordance with Wisconsin Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction. The Village of Dorchester reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid they deem most advantageous to the village. The project shall be completed by August 31, 2022, or as otherwise submitted on the bid form and agreed upon by Supervisor prior to contracting.
