Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The City of Laconia Parks and Recreation Department is seeking proposals from qualified vendors capable of providing services related to the removal and disposal of the existing Weirs Beach Gazebo and the replacement of an in-kind gazebo. The Scope of Work is intended to give a basic description of the work to be performed, the materials to be supplied, and the tasks to be completed by the contractor. It is intended to give the contractor a general overview of the project requirements. This Scope of Work is not an all inclusive description of every detail. The proposer should include required work not outlined below; 1. Entirely demolish, remove, and dispose of the existing Gazebo. 2. Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials needed to construct and/or deliver a new covered gazebo. 3. Provide and perform all site work including excavation for a gazebo, base materials, loam, seed, and finish grading. 4. New gazebo must fit into the existing Gazebo's footprint (9' in diameter). 5. The new gazebo shall have three entrance doorways, include a small lockable storage box as a part of the structure, and should include an area for promotional material. 6. Proposals should include specification sheets that describe the proposed Gazebo in detail. 7. Gazebo to be free of any scratches and blemishes in the finish. 8. Disturbed areas are to be raked clean and the ground is to be left smooth. All rocks and debris are to be removed 9. Performance and Payment Bonds are required when a construction or service contract is awarded in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000). The City of Laconia reserves the right to reject or accept all or any part of any proposal, to determine what constitutes a conforming proposal, to award solely as it deems to be in the best interest of the City, and to waive irregularities that it considers not material to the process. A performance bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the City, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract for the full term of the contract; and A payment bond satisfactory to the City, executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Hampshire or otherwise secured in a manner satisfactory to the City, for the protection of all persons supplying labor and material to the contractor or its subcontractors for the performance of the work provided in the contract. The bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the price specified in the contract for the full term of the contract.
