1. Contractor to provide a new intrusion detection system throughout the entire school campus at five sites. Work to include selective demolition and repairs, electrical, conduit and surface raceway installation, and low voltage cabling.
2. Contractor to remove legacy intrusion detection equipment, devices, cabling, and abandoned surface mount conduit/raceways after the cutover to new system.
3. Paint new exposed conduits to match existing surface. Paint and patch existing walls, ceilings, surfaces exposed during demolition. Notice is hereby given that the Fresno Unified School District ("DISTRICT") will receive sealed bids for Bid No. 22-43, Intrusion Security Upgrades Phase 2, to remove obsolete intrusion alarm equipment and install new DISTRICT provided intrusion alarm equipment and infrastructure at five school sites. Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 1770 et seq of the California Labor Code, each worker of the contractor and any of its subcontractors engaged in work on the Project shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, the DIR established a Contractor Registration Program, in which no contractor or subcontractor shall bid on, be listed in a bid, or engage in the performance of any public work contract without being registered. Prime Contractor must have a valid Class "C10" Contractor's License Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bidder's bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of total bids made payable to Fresno Unified. The substitution of appropriate securities in lieu of retention amounts from progress payments in accordance with Public Contract Code Section 22300 is permitted.
