Renovation of a multi-residential development in Duffield, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The project generally consists of removing existing baseboard heat in forty (40) apartment units and installing a like number of split system heat pumps with new ducting and incidental work such as furring ceilings to conceal ductwork, inserting a return air grille into an existing stile and rail door, and constructing exterior wooden fences to protect outside units The Contract will be awarded on a lump sum basis. Bid security is required to be submitted with each Bid in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid. Bid security may be in the form of a certified check or a bid bond secured by a surety company. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount will be required on this project. The Contractor shall also provide Liability Insurance coverage for the value of this HVAC contract.
