SCOPE OF WORK AND MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: 1. The Dundee Library is seeking an electronic messaging sign to replace the current sign in the same location. 2. Furnish and install one double face internally luminated sign with graphics for the top portion. 3. Furnish and install one double face WATCHFIRE or equal, full color electronic messaging sign. Includes cellular communication, Ignite software or equal and complete onsite and webinar training. 4. The electronic message sign shall have the capability to adjust for lighting, shall not produce glare to adjacent properties, and shall automatically dim the intensity of lights during hours of darkness. 5. The pedestal foundation and excavation and connection to electric completed at time of installation. 6. The current sign location has electric. INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS: Payment of prevailing wages is required for this project. The Director and/or the Fox River Valley Public Library District Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any bid irregularities. This project is tax exempt. A pre-bid meeting is not currently scheduled for this project and should not be required. Contractors are encouraged to review existing conditions and should contact Michael Lorenzetti, Facility Manager, (224-699-4121), at the library to inform him that they will be onsite. A tour of the facility to visualize existing conditions and answer all questions can be completed at that time. This project has been approved by the East Dundee Village Board of Trustees and contractors are required to apply and complete any further permits for the completion of this project.
