The Caroline Sewage Pumping Station (SPS) was constructed in 1976 and require upgrades to ensure continued viable operation and to provide additional capacity to service anticipated development within the SPS catchment area. The SPS mostly consist of flows from nearby commercial lands and pumps wastewater via two, 150mm diameter forcemains to a maintenance hole at the intersection of Muskoka Road and Violet Street in Gravenhurst. The wastewater is transferred to the Gravenhurst Clean Water Plant for treatment. The work required for this project includes primarily: - Supply, Installation, and testing of two (2), new non-clog submersible raw sewage pumps, to be installed in the existing wet well. - Supply, installation, and testing of new process piping, valves, fittings within the existing wet well. - Modifications to existing overflow pipe and manhole as detailed in the Contract. - Supply, installation, and testing of a new pump control panel, PLC, soft starters, automatic transfer switch (ATS), and standby generator. - Supply and installation of new ultrasonic levels sensor and floats. - Construction and installation of new, concrete wet-well roof and removal of existing roof - Supply and installation of new equipment hatches, access hatches, anchors, davits, and other appurtenances per the Contract Documents. - Demolition and removals as required to complete the Work. - Repair and restoration of site, including roads, as required by the Contract Documents. The anticipated contract award for this contract is July 20, 2022, and start date is per the date provided by the successful bidder, but no later than August 2, 2022. The successful bidder will be notified upon receipt of appropriate documentation of the date when they will be able to occupy the site.
