o Assess multiple HA properties to determine qualifications and feasibility for SOMAH program o Coordinate the application for SOMAH funding and obtain approval o Install the solar PV systems in compliance with SOMAH, local, State, and federal regulations o Coordinate the commissioning of the solar PV systems, including but not limited to coordination with utility companies and net metering. o Warranty the work provided and provide ongoing maintenance as required by SOMAH. The Housing Authority of the County of Kern (HA) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the provision of full scope services to coordinate the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of Solar on Multifamily Affordable Housing (SOMAH) funded solar PV systems on multiple Housing Authority properties in Kern County. We seek to offset tenant and common area usage to reduce costs for both tenants and the Housing Authority General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence for Bodily Injury, Personal Injury and Property Damage. If Commercial General Liability Insurance or other form with a general aggregate limit is used, either the general aggregate limit shall apply separately to the project/location or the general aggregate limit shall be twice the required occurrence limit. Proposals received late will not be opened or given any consideration for the proposed services unless doing so is deemed to be in the best interest of the HA, as determined in the sole discretion of theHA. Any deductibles or self-insured retentions must be declared to and approved by HA. At the option of HA, either: the insurer shall reduce or eliminate such deductibles or self-insured retentions as respects HA, its officers, officials, employees, and volunteers; or the Consultant shall provide a financial guarantee satisfactory to HA guaranteeing payment of losses and related investigations,claim administration, and defense expenses.
