Per the owner, as of February 5, 2024, this solicitation has been awarded. The owner states that appraisal will hopefully begin in March 2024. A timeline for construction has not been determined. The Otay Water District (District) will require the services of a civil engineering consulting firm (Consultant) to provide professional design services in support of the Rancho San Diego & Jamul Pipeline Replacement project. The project includes the replacement of approximately 6,500 linear feet of 12" and 14" potable water main and associated appurtenances in various locations. The project also includes providing a preliminary design report for the realignment and replacement of the 18" 520 Pressure Zone (PZ) pipeline from the Campo Road & Jamacha Boulevard intersection to the 832 Pump Station. The services may include, but not be limited to, the following engineering tasks: preliminary design report preparation, investigation of existing conditions and facilities, professional surveying, hydraulic modeling, preparation of construction contract documents, bidding assistance, and support during construction. In compliance with SB 854, all Consultants and Sub-Consultants shall be registered with the CA Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Proposals from consultants not registered with the DIR will be considered unresponsive. Request for Proposal (RFP) materials will be e-mailed to qualified firms on Monday, May 16, 2022. All questions regarding the consulting services should be referred to Kevin Cameron, P.E., Project Manager, at kcameron@otaywater.gov, prior to issuance of the RFP. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
