All Work consists generally of the addition of a condensing boiler, along with associated piping and controls. There will also be piping, valve, and control work done at various points in other buildings on campus to facilitate better control of the heating hot water distribution loop. Bids will be received for completion of entire project under a single Mechanical Contract, which will include Mechanical, General, Electrical and other Miscellaneous Work. Substantial completion date is Friday, October 28th, 2022. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner, in the amount of 5% of the bid sum. Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of the Board of Trustees, ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE, EAST PEORIA, ILLINOIS. The Owner anticipates a letter of intent to award the contract on Friday, May 20th, 2022. All Contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). It is the bidder's responsibility to ensure receipt of all project addenda prior to bidding. CAD files will not be made available at any point. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner.
