The Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) is seeking a firm to furnish all labor, material and equipment necessary for dewatering the inactive Billmeyer Quarry located in Bainbridge, Lancaster County, PA. The principal items of work to be performed under this project include: providing pumping systems, that are capable of being deployed within 30 days of notice; and pumping from Billmeyer Quarry into the Susquehanna River at rates up to 10,000 gallons per minute. The SRBC intends to enter into a 10 year agreement with the selected firm, to pay an annual fee for the firm to be at the ready, and, in addition, to pay a daily rate per day during active pumping.
