The work includes, but is not limited to: installation of pavement striping and markings on various County Roads on an "as-needed" basis. Q & A deadline: May 17, 2022 8:00:00 PM EDT The contractor must review the contract language prior to submitting a bid. By submitting a bid, the contractor agrees to the terms of the contract. The existence of potential or actual conflicts of interest will be used as an evaluation criterion during the evaluation and selection process. This request is not an offer to contract and does not commit Yolo County to pay any costs incurred in the preparation and presentation of submittals and interviews, or to select any interested firm, which responds. The County does not guarantee, either expressly or by implication that any work or services will be required under any contract issued as a result of this request. The County reserves the right to reject any and all submittals and to waive any informality, technical defect or clerical error. The contractors bid will become part of the contract for furnishing the services. Contractors are bound by the responses contained in their bid. Bids shall be submitted at each firm's own risk. If any errors exist in a submittal and the firm fails to notify the County prior to the deadline for submission, the firm shall not be entitled to additional compensation as a result of any errors or later corrections. Note to General Contractors; Joint Apprenticeship Committee Participation Requirement: The County adopted a policy that one of requirements to be deemed a responsive bidder is that when submitting a bid at or in excess of one million dollars the bidder must then be participating in a joint apprenticeship committee on public works projects. The California Department of Industrial Relations defines a joint apprenticeship committee as a committee made up of equal number of members from labor and management. Bidders submitting bids at or in excess of one million dollars must complete a California Department of Industrial Relations' DAS-7 form that documents the bidder's participation in a joint apprenticeship committee. Bids that are not accompanied by such proof of participation will be rejected. The County will verify participation prior to the award.
