The Arkansas Department of the Military is soliciting responses from qualified consultants to provide professional engineering design services as defined by the Arkansas Department of Transformation and Shared Services/Division of Building Authority Minimum Standards and Criteria (MSC) for an upgrade of a small arms weapons range located at Fort Chaffee Joint Maneuver Training Center near Barling, AR. The project will expand the range from 15 lanes to 16 lanes to meet Training Circular (TC) 25-8 standards. The range must be converted from legacy radio communication to new fiber communication. The underground power network requires modification due to continuous flooding and life cycle expiration. Agency intends to award this contract to one consultant having the capability to provide the required services in-house but shall consider awarding the contract to a consulting firm with outside sub-consultants. This facility will be designed to meet all local, State, and Federal building codes and United States Army Corps of Engineers guidelines. Responses received for this RFQ will be used to screen prospective consultants and select finalists for interview in accordance with the MSC. The agency intends to award one contract under this solicitation.
