Site work and paving for a road / highway in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As of July 20, 2022, the project was awarded to APAC-Atlantic, Inc., awarded amount is $7,595,587.65. Compliance with the City of Winston-Salem's M/WBE program is required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders contained in the specifications. The M/WBE subcontracting goals for this project are 5% MBE, 5% WBE and must be met separately. The low bidder who fails to meet said goals must submit Affidavit 'D' and their full Good Faith Effort documentation within 24 hours. Likewise, an Affidavit 'C' is required of the apparent low bidder who meets the M/WBE goals. Project award is anticipated on June 21 with start of construction in mid-July 2022. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Contractors must be properly licensed at time of bid as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.
