Renovation of an educational facility in Beaufort, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Technical College of the Low Country is soliciting bids for repair and waterproofing of exterior masonry walls of Building 1. On all elevations of the building perform the following: cut out exterior mortar joints, stone capping joints and any cracked brick. Clean joints properly before repointing joints with a historic lime-based mortar to match existing as close as possible preventing any more water penetration into the building. Repair all cracks and replace any and all missing bricks or coping with a similar unit laid with a historic lime mortar to match existing as close as possible preventing any more water penetration into the building. Remove all joint sealant and install new backer rod and caulk with elastomeric caulking. Pressure wash exterior of building. Apply a coating of waterproofing sealer to full building allowing protection from water penetration
