The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: site work and new construction of a one-story above grade transportation facility. There is one addendum on the project, please see the owner for more information. Design-Build Services to Construct a New Jamaica Bus Depot in the Borough of Queens. The Design-Build services for this Project include but are not limited to the following work: ii. Construction of a single-story bus depot with basement and rooftop parking, with tailpipe exhaust system, bus washing systems with water reclamation systems, high pressure washer for the chassis/engine wash area, half-scissor bus lift for the chassis/engine workstation, portable bus lifts (set of six) at each maintenance workstation, parts storage retrieval systems, fall protection systems, passenger and freight elevators, monorail hoist system, bulk fluid dispensing systems, diesel fueling system for buses, diesel fuel system for emergency generator, waste fluid handling systems, and air curtains at the exterior roll- up doors; iii. Construction of the new bus parking lot with the capability for electric bus charging systems; iv. Construction of the new administrative building; v. Construction of two sound barrier walls on the west and south sides of the new bus depot; vi. Installation of new utility services, including electrical systems, storm and sanitary drainage systems, oil and water separators, and generators; vii. Installation of HVAC systems and wet sprinkler system; viii. Construction of new communications rooms and communications systems; ix. Construction of temporary parking lot to accommodate at least 170 buses and subsequent demolition of the parking lot and restoration of the land; and x. The phased demolition of the existing Jamaica Bus Depot and MTA-acquired properties.
