Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.

This project includes the construction of repairs to the perimeter wall at Naval Support Activity in Philadelphia, PA. The wall section to be repaired for the base bid is broken into two sections, totaling approximately 850 LF. Refer to Part 6 Reference Drawings to see limits. The existing perimeter wall is comprised of a concrete base with ornamental fence mounted on top, and is experiencing concrete cracking and spalling where fence posts are embedded. The selected repairs for this contract apply to the base bid (CLIN 0001) and bid option (CLIN 0002). Repairs include, but are not limited to: Removal of each section of fence panel, store and protect fence panels for reuse. Selective demolition and removal of concrete and fence post base at each fence post. Installation of reinforcing steel and replacement of the concrete at each fence post. Reinstallation of each salvaged fence post and reinstallation of fencing to make a secure perimeter. The repair shall be constructed at each fence post location along the project limits. The contractor shall not abandon failed fence post embedment connections. Base Bid includes approximately 130 fence post locations to be repaired. Furthermore, the finished appearance shall be visually consistent with the repaired wall that is adjacent to the base bid limits. DOR shall utilize provided drawings in Part 6 from the Building 114 Perimeter Fence repair as the basis for these additional repairs. The installation secure perimeter must be maintained throughout construction. Prior to the start of construction the Contractor must to provide temporary fencing on the inside of the existing fence to maintain security of the base during fence post repairs. See Drawings in Part 6 for suggested temporary fence details. Bid Option: The following bid option requires identical construction efforts as previously stated for the base bid. Include pricing for the option with the base bid proposal. The base bid and option pricing shall be made good through 31 December 2022. CLIN 0002 Bid Option 1: The limits of work under this option are adjacent to one section of the Base Bid, and is approximately 1,000 LF. Refer to Part 6 Reference Drawings to see limits. Bid Option includes approximately 160 fence post locations.
