Per the owner, as of January 5, 2024, individual property owners will be responsible for the design and construction. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. ............ The City has received a Hazard Mitigation Program Grant (HMPG) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the development and implementation of a Soft Story Seismic Retrofit program. FEMA funds 75% of the total program costs with the City providing the remaining 25%. The City intends to utilize completely the Federal share for all of the services through the FEMA grant. The City of San José José Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement is seeking firms to provide a full complement of multidisciplinary engineering consultant design services with specialties in structural, civil, mechanical, geo-technical, environmental and electrical fields. The Consultant will be expected to perform all services and administer its agreement in a manner that will allow for maximum utilization of the funds from FEMA, successful securing of additional funds from FEMA for the ongoing activities, and be audit ready at the end of the project.
