Questions Due By: 5/19/2022 no later than 2:00PM This invitation is for renovation of the Giles Gallery as specified in the following bid at Eastern Kentucky University's Richmond Campus. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and services necessary for the complete project as outlined including all items indicated throughout the attached specifications. Work will begin immediately following an official Award of Contract and Purchase Order from Eastern Kentucky University. A point of contact for EKU Project Management will be provided to the awarded vendor at time of award. Eastern Kentucky University reserves the right to award in part or in whole and to award multiple suppliers/contracts if in the best interest of the university Project Notes: - Substantial Date for Completion: 150 days from purchase order - Final Date for Completion: 180 days from purchase order Liquidated Damages: - $500 per day until Substantial Completion - $250 per day until Final Completion Bid bonds and performance bonds are required. Base Bid: This project includes renovation of a 4,575 square foot, two story art exhibit gallery and gallery workroom. All ceilings and all above ceiling HVAC and electrical lighting, power and systems are new. A new multizone air handler and duct reheat coils are included, as well as new wall finishes and safety railings, a new exterior wall opening and emergency egress door, including handicapped accessible exterior ramp to the public sidewalk. All new HVAC equipment will be monitored and controlled via new controls systems integrated into the existing Johnson Controls building automation system. Finish work includes refinishing the existing terrazzo flooring, replacement of all wall finishes, and replacement of the existing ceiling system.
