It is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that Bidders attend the Pre-Bid Conference for purposes of clarifying specific information concerning the Project work, hearing other Bidders' questions regarding various aspects of the Project and the answers thereto, and learning the manner of proper completion and submission of the Bid Documents to ensure a responsive Bid. A Bidder's failure to attend the Pre-Bid Conference is at its own risk. The last day for questions shall be on Friday, May 27, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. Addendum shall be released to all registered Bidders on Friday, June 3, 2022. All bidders and their subcontractors shall be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. All bids must be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor, pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act asto the Bidder and all subcontractors. Pursuant to P.L. 2004 c.57, (N.J.S.A. 52:32-44) all bids must be accompanied by a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue. The Bidder must include with its bid its own Business Registration Certificate and that of all subcontractors. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a Bid for a Project, the Bidder and/or its subcontractor shall be classified by NJDPMC and NJSDA in at least one of the following disciplines as listed with the associated Project: Bid # 2022-12: C047 Electrical Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:2-1 et seq., "The Law Against Discrimination" and Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. This project is a school facilities project as defined in the Education Facilities Construction and Financing Act, N.J.S.A. 18A:7G-1 et seq. and may be funded in part with grant monies from the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors engaged by the Board to work on this project shall agree to be bound by the terms of a Grant Agreement issued by the SDA, which, if applicable, will be available for inspection at the Board office during business hours. No bidder who is on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders shall be eligible to bid on this project. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the Plainfield Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, however, not to exceed $20,000. Statement of Ownership Requirement: Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, Bidders shall submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all persons and entities that own ten percent or more of its stock or interest of any type at all levels of ownership. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor Questionnaire/Certification also must be filed with the bid.
