Through this Request for Proposals, the City of Merritt seeks proposals to meet the City's urgent need to provide manufactured housing for up to 40 households that were displaced as a result of the November 2021 Flooding Event. The City's key requirements are as follows: Quantity: the City requires up to 40 homes (units). The City is exploring a number of methods to secure units, and proposals will be received for any quantity. Install Location: Manufactured homes are to be delivered and setup by the supplier at a mobile home park site located in Merritt, BC. Sites will be prepared and will have electricity, water and sewer connections available. The City will still accept proposals that exclude setup services if the Supplier is not able to provide these ancillary services. Timeline: the City has a preference for units to be delivered and installed before August 31, 2022. However, the City recognizes there are supply/demand capacity issues and is open to proposals which can guarantee supply of units before September 30, 2022. City Budget: The City has a maximum budget of $5,850,000 (excluding taxes) available for the purchase of all 40 Units. The City is open to Proposals which propose either; manufactured homes which are already designed and in production; or manufactured homes that would be design, manufactured and supplied specific to the City's requirements in this RFP.
