New construction of a theater / auditorium in Merritt, British Columbia. Working plans call for the construction of a 8,300-square-foot, one-story above grade, 308-seat theater / auditorium.
Construction of a stand-alone building containing three flexible theatres, two of which are digital media theatres, and one featuring retractable seating. Combined seating capacity for all three theatres is 308. The facility will include a rentable community room, a concession area, lobby, office and a storage area. TIMELINE: Project is preliminary and is dependent on funding. Timelines and next steps are undefined at this time. Further update in early spring, 2026. *Total project costs including design, property purchase, construction and furbishing costs are approximately $4 million. Construction cost is estimated at $3.2 million.
