As of April 12, 2024, a design-builder has been selected for the project. The bid package is being finalized. Construction is estimated to take place in summer of 2024. Pender County Schools is seeking Qualification Proposals from skilled, experienced Architectural Firms who specializes in school building construction. It is the intent of Pender County Schools to select firm(s), as a result of this RFQ, that are currently licensed in the State of North Carolina to perform architectural services. Assigned project may include Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Plumbing needs. For general purposes the scope may entail, but not limited to, costs of design, construction administration and management, project cost estimate, permits, Identify and obtain necessary easements, attend pre-bid meetings and bid openings, provide recommendation of award, assist in value engineering, and contract administration. PCS is specifically looking for Architects with a minimum of 5 years of experience in school construction projects. A list of PCS projects that may require these services are listed within Appendix A. Questions are to be submitted via email to the individual listed on page 2 of this solicitation document.
